Quintana di Ascoli Piceno

As we mentioned previously in our “Sighseeing Ascoli Piceno”, in addition to knowing and tourist-ing the city of Ascoli, we were lucky to visit the city during the famous Quintana di Ascoli Piceno or as it is also known “Giostra della Quintana “. The medieval event, takes place on the second Saturday of July and the first Sunday of August. Before entering the field (in which the competition between the six riders), more than 1,400 people parade along the main streets of the historic center of the medieval city, wearing traditional costumes representing the figures of the Middle Ages. Sightseeing Ascoli Piceno

We just returned from a spectacular weekend in Le Marche, with the PinkTrotters crew. We were more precisely in the city of Ascoli Piceno, where we discovered and experienced the culture and traditions that the city offers. The artistic and architectural heritage leaves everyone breathless. Its old town, built almost entirely of travertine (limestone), is one of the most important and admired in the region and in central Italy.   IT- Siamo appena tornate da un weekend spettacolare nelle Marche, con il gruppo PinkTrotters. Siamo più precisamente state nella città di Ascoli Piceno, dove abbiamo scoperto e conosciuto la cultura e le tradizioni che la città offre. Il patrimonio artistico e architettonico lascia chiunque senza fiato.
